Walk-in rooms

Our walk-in rooms are custom designed rooms to fit any dimensions, typically starting from 2.1 metres high x 2.1 metres wide x 2.1 metres deep, and can be expanded in increments of 300mm. Rooms are capable of operating at temperatures of either -20ºc, 2-8ºc or 25ºc to 40ºc (+/-2ºc) and humidity ranges of 20% to 95% relative humidity (+/- 5%RH)

Stability Cabinets

Our 5000 series stability cabinets provide storage capacities of between 400 litres and 890 litres and are capable of operating at temperatures of either 2-8ºc or 20 ºc to 50ºc (+/-2ºc) and humidity ranges of 20% to 80% relative humidity (+/- 5%RH)

Our 5900 series reach-in rooms provide storage capacities of between 1650 litres and 6000 litres and are capable of operating at temperatures of either -20ºc, 2-8ºc or 25ºc to 40ºc (+/-2ºc) and humidity ranges of 20% to 75% relative humidity (+/- 5%RH)

Cabinets

There are many features that make the 5000 series cabinet unique, each feature yielding a direct operational benefit to the end user. Furthermore the design and manufacture of this cabinet is geared towards reduced energy usage and therefore lower cost of ownership.

Suitable for all ICH Zone II Drug stability tests - long term, intermediate and accelerated conditions. Capacity is between 400 and 895 litres, available in a variety of configurations with data logging and water purification.

Cabinets are manufactured from zinc plated mild steel sheet which has a powder coated, textured white finish. It is of a welded construction.

Grade 304 stainless steel is used on the internal liner of the cabinet. This is a surface that will withstand the specific temperature and humidified environments, will not rust over time and is a surface that will wipe clean.

The void between the inner and outer skins is injected with closed cell, CFC-free polyurethane foam.

Each cabinet comes complete with three stainless steel shelves. Shelves are manufactured from grade 304 stainless. Shelving is adjustable on a 25mm pitch

Reach-in rooms

If floor space is at a premium a reach-in room may be the most suitable option. Reach-in rooms provide high capacity storage but with a footprint not much more than a cabinet. Manufactured to the same exacting standards as all of our stability storage rooms.

Our reach-in rooms are constructed from self-supporting pre-fabricated, 60mm thick panels, which lock together by a “cam-lock” system. The panels comprise of two steel skins that are injected with, CFC-free, polyurethane foam, thus creating an insulated “sandwich” panel. External finish is white 9010 (RAL) epoxy coating. Internal finish is Grade 304 stainless steel. This provides a surface that will withstand the specified temperature and humidity, will not rust over time and is easy to clean.

Each reach-in comes standard with 5 levels of shelving, adjustable in 50mm increments. The shelves are composed of grade 304 stainless steel. Shelving is solid to provide laminar airflow complimented by our HVAC design described below.

All reach-in rooms utilise laminar airflow for circulation. The plenum under the bottom shelf draws air evenly across the shelving from wall to wall, and returns it back to the plenum. The plenum contains all of the fans, heating elements, and cold water coils, which all work together to ensure a tight uniformity throughout the chamber. by simply removing a few screws on the bottom panel within the chamber, all parts can be easily accessed and serviced

Walk-in rooms

Our walk-in rooms provide a large volume, validatable controlled environment at a cost effective price. Modular construction ensures that all panels will pass through a standard doorway so installation and any future re-location is straightforward. Both the insulating foam and the refrigerant are CFC-free.

The rooms are designed to provide the climatic conditions specified in the ICH Tripartite guidelines, simulating the conditions of all 4 world climatic zones for long-term, intermediate and accelerated testing.

Our stability storage rooms feature total humidity control, high efficiency humidifiers with ultrasonic transducers and low voltage, energy-efficient solid-state transducers.

The rooms are constructed from self supporting pre-fabricated, 60mm or 100mm thick panels, which lock together by a “cam-lock” system. The panels comprise of two steel skins that are injected with a high pressure, CFC-free, polyurethane foam, thus creating an insulated “sandwich” panel.

The external face of the panels is finished in white 9002 (RAL) epoxy coating and the internal skin is finished in grade 316 stainless steel. This provides a surface that will withstand the specified temperature and humidified environments, will not rust over time and is easy to clean.

Room dimensions can be altered in size increments of 300mm with regard to height, width and depth.

The floor panels are 60mm or 100mm thick, and have been injected with CFC-free polyurethane foam. Floors are finished with a layer of anti-slip polyester.

Our rooms incorporate a bespoke shelving system that is designed to fit around our floor mounted ducting system. The entire shelving system is manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel. Shelving uprights are securely fastened in place, providing a strong and stable racking design. Perforated shelving is supported on rods which sit in holes machined into the uprights on a 50mm pitch. The height of each shelf can be adjusted by placing the support rods in the required position of the holes on the uprights. The shelves are perforated to allow air to pass through them and onto stored product.

We control the environment of our stability storage room by use of a ducting system. This is manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel. The ducting system comprises of a vertical plenum located at the rear of the room within the corridor. Air is attracted at high level through this plenum by the fan(s). That air is then passed down over the cooling coils and over the heaters to floor mounted horizontal ducts where it passes into the room through adjustable vents. The floor mounted ducts are situated beneath our shelving system

Indirect refrigeration

Our standard “ICH - type” stability storage rooms and cabinets use an indirect refrigeration system to help control the internal temperature of the room. The chiller is located internally on our 5000 series cabinets and reach-in rooms or externally for our walk-in rooms. It uses a direct refrigeration system to cool a tank of water to a specific temperature directly related to the operating set point of the cabinet or room. This cooled water is then pumped to a cooling coil and works together with the heaters to provide accurate temperature control.

The temperature of the coolant is monitored by a sensor and controller that switches on the fridge to maintain the required water temperature.

Humidity generator

Our standard “ICH - type” stability storage rooms and cabinets are fitted with a humidity generator that uses ultrasonic transducers to provide a controlled level of humidity inside the chamber. When required, an air supply is taken from the chamber via flexible tubing and passed through the ‘humidity cloud’ produced by the humidity generator and the “humidified” air is then returned to the cabinet thereby raising the level of humidity inside.
